From de Struise Brouwers brewery, this quadruple beer has been aged for 3 years in red wine barrels from Chateau Margaux!

It is dark brown in color with a beige foam. According Struise an aroma and bouquet of red wine – fruity red wine, with a taste of berries and black cherries. Caramel malt with light smoke and chocolate flavors. Fruity elements of red fruits from the aging in barrels of Chateau Margaux, these flavors adding light vanilla and wood tannins. The finish is soft smoky, fruity and slight hoppy.

De Struise Brouwers Blue Monk

Papegaei 8°

Papegaei is a blond beer with an alcohol volume of 8%. The beer is lightly drinkable and has a rich bouquet of hops. It is brewed with fresh hop flowers, which means that the flowers are dried but not turned into an extract or pellets, so they keep their natural form (and taste!). The mash of this beer contains barley, wheat and oats. It is a top fermented beer with a second fermentation in the bottle. The beer is neither filtered nor pasteurized. This beer is brewed and bottled by Adam Verstraete at the Deca brewery in Woesten. Woesten, next…Westvleteren.
