Leffe Caractere 9°

 From AB-Inbev brewery

Character by Leffe, beer brewed with whiskey.

A delicate and unique manufacturing process.

Character by Leffe: a unique beer that has matured for four weeks on wood chips macerated in a Scotch whiskey.

To brew Character by Leffe, the master brewers have elaborated an unprecedented recipe. They started from the observation that the flavors of vanilla and clove brought by Leffe’s yeast combine perfectly with the woody aromas. To create this alliance, they plunged oak wood chips into Scotch whiskey, dried them. And finally deposited them in a vat of ale for maturation. After numerous experiments, master brewers discovered that four weeks was the ideal time needed for wood chips to diffuse their flavors in beer. This sophisticated brewing process is one of the reasons why Character by Leffe is so unique and offered in limited edition.

Tripick Triple 8°

Tripick 8° is a blond beer with 8% alcohol. The subtle character of this beer is reflected in the hopping, with a present but skilfully controlled bitterness displaying 35 EBU. The aromas in the mouth are accentuated by the use of noble hops with spicy notes. And…
Tripick is an Ardennes beer which exists for just eight months. However, it was already capable to put itself on the map as winner of the World Beer Award 2017 in the categories Lager and Strong. It’s a true honor for the proud inventors who see their craftmanship rewarded with the most beautiful beer prize in the world.
Realy a wonderfull beer.

Diabolici Fruits of Hell 8°

From John Martin brewery.

Having been brewed since the beginning of time at the gates of hell, Diabolici Fruits of Hell is the familiar and impish companion of our festive evenings. Savour this fruity brew in its exclusive chalice glass, adorned with a little Diabolici devil. The Diabolici were born in an infernal mash tub which they consider to be the most precious source in the world. This artisanal beverage is the fruit of a jealously guarded ancestral recipe. Diabolici Fruits of Hell is a fiery elixir combining a top-fermented beer and Kriek lambic. With an ABV of 8%, Diabolici Fruits of Hell owes its name to its creators, who bewitch the minds of those who merrily drink it. This legendary nectar is worthy of a magical world and is a legacy of our popular mythology.
Taste-wise … Strong cherry aroma accompanied by a subtle taste of cherry pie. Full-bodied with a long fruity aftertaste.

Tournay Royale Réserve 11°

From Cazeau brewery.

Tournay Noire aged for 20months in oak barrel. Limited to 400 bottles Thin, loosely structured, yellowish beige head consisting of small bubbles which fizz away like the head on a glass of coke. leaving behind only a wafer-thin moussy rim but completely vanishing in the end, on top of a very, very dark bronze-brown beer, practically black in general appearance But with translucent chestnut edges, revealing a refined ’edge carbonation’.
Almost vaguely oud bruin-like, quite deep aroma of toasted bread, walnut liqueur, dry sherry, dry tree leaves, brown rum of high standard, oak furniture (quite pronounced), dried plums, maracuja, old red wine, dusty old shelves, treacle, caramel sauce, dried blackcurrants, hazelnuts, fig, butterscotch, bayleaf, candied pear, dried sage, vague vanilla (the oak again, no doubt), dry leather, old cloves, toasted peanuts, molasses, tree bark. Lots of dried fruits in the onset, candied sweetness but in a noble, restrained kind of way, dried fig and dried berries, raisins and dried banana slices, sweetish and sourish in balance… But still the sweetishness of almost muscovado-like brown sugariness elegantly prevails. Thick and near to syrupy, ’clean’, very smooth, gently carbonated mouthfeel, very filling but not thoroughly oily or viscous. Lovely smooth, almost resinous caramelly malt body, thick and mouth-filling, beautiful sweetish (cashew- or hazel-)nuttiness, light dark ’fondant’ chocolate accents here . And there, all drenched in this beautiful dried fruit sweetishness and sourishness, until, at some point before the finish, the wood sets in and provides not just a tannic, almost ’dusty’ dryness, but also very elegant retronasal oakiness, vanilla-ish but ’palpably’ woody as well. The nuttiness and toastiness of the malts travel even a little bit beyond this very pronounced woodiness, connecting beginning and end, with a trace of the treacle- or molasses-like dark sugariness to it as well, leaving a delicate sweetness behind at the back of the mouth. Some earthy hops and a well-positioned afterglow of rum-like, but otherwise not too outspoken alcohol do the rest.
This is a beautiful creation, all of Cazeau’s beers are of high quality level .

Gordon Xplosion Revolution 9°

« Revolucion » explodes totally when tequila enters on stage a little bit as the big winner but also tolerant of a conventional continuation of more traditional ingredients excluding by no means the presence of a bitterness in final but discreet thanks to a velvety hopping. It is somewhat as if the « XPLOSION REVOLUCION » unwound its delicious colored carpet with all the honours.
This beer is appreciated all year round, thirst-quenching by hot weather and reinvigorating by the warm preciousness of its tastes in case the weather report would be rather fresh. It is a real happiness itself, calling up to the pleasures of the tastes, delighted that you can now enjoy it.

It possesses a conclusion of which we do not grow tired, and in case of « Revolucion », it is rather comforting. This is what it will make it so close to you and will leave you no more than a mouthful. This beer is made to give the sense of real life as an ode to joy. Here is the recipe which will amaze you every putsch no matter the state of mind of the palace!
