The Silly Sour has been part of our range ever since our brewery was founded by Marcelin Meynsbrughen in 1850. It is brewed with 13% of young beer and 87% of aged beer. The result is a complex beer, fruity and pleasantly acidic. It provides very intense and refreshing sensations.
Pours brown with ruby highlights, thin off white head. The aroma is nutty, slightly rustic yeasty note, hints of tartness. The flavor is cherry, nutty, almost medicinal at times, malty sweetness in the finish. This is a yeast driven beer with the soft acidity clearing my palate after each sip.
In spring you can enjoy Maneblusser Lente. This light blond beer is brewed with pilsner malt, wheat malt, oats and rye. It was seasoned with classics such as coriander, cumin and curaçao. The result? At the same time refreshing and full of character. Just like spring, it tastes mellow sweet, fruity and deliciously floral. Ideal to enjoy in the spring sun!
A little hazy yellow/golden colored beer. A nice white creamy head. Aroma of hop bitter, and strange for a blond beer, some notes of roasted malts. The taste has these notes also. the taste is malty and fruity with some sweet bitter notes in the back. A very good beer.
The Silly brewer’s latest creation, the Triple Swaf, is a blonde beer that has re-fermented in the bottle. It is based on a recipe that is 100% original. On tasting this triple you will be struck by its 8% ABV with zesty aromas of coriander, followed by a subtle bitterness that nevertheless makes its presence felt. All this comes with a full-mouthed taste and a lovely lingering finish. An exceptional beer must have an exceptional glass and so the brewery opted for a prestigious glass on a tall stem. Taste this beer and you are won over straight away.
St. Tabarnak is the result of the collaboration between Brewery Eutropius and the Canadian death metal formation Kataklysm. Tabarnak, derivative sland of the holy word « Tabernacle » from the Catholic Church, is commonly used as a swear word by French-speaking Quebecers. The word is used as an interjection to express the intensity of an emotion, most commonly anger or astonishment, but can also take shape as a noun. The St. Tabarnak is a fine blonde Belgian beer with a divin taste which should satisfy even the finest palates. It will tickle your taste buds with its sweet coriander aromas. Thou shalt honour thy beer by drinking it to its last drop, and for the love of God, when your bottle will be empty, order another St. Tabarnak!
The smoky roasted coffee notes, with aromas of sweet, spicy and bitterness are a well complement for the hearty meals such as steaks, rabbit, fish like halibut but also a good companion for sweet food, desserts such as brownies and dark chocolate, toffee etc. Old cheese like Emmental, Cheddar together with this black beer is a revelation of tastes and impressions.
Chimay Grande Réserve 2015 oak aged is an exceptional beer that benefits from triple fermentation and has aged for 6 months in new wooden casks (from Bourgogne, France). Unfiltered, unpasteurised, this beer has an incomparable rounded, wooden flavour. Limited edition.
This beer’s presence is a noticeable result of a powerful nose that initially imposes its authority, followed by an equally imposing tinged flavor of nobility with a very stylish character. Languid, velvety tones accumulate, with natural roasted malts. There is a definitive, generous largesse to the beer’s sweetness, from real cane sugar, with a dark ruby majestic aftertaste. Its status ranks well above beers in its category.
Urthel Samaranth 12 Quadrium Ale is a malty, full-bodied special Ale, brewed in a way that only Belgian Brewers can.
Clear toffee brown with ruby highlights and good off-white head. Subtle and pleasant caramel aroma. Fantastic palate – slightly creamy, very slightly sticky, plenty of body with excellent carbonation that is both mouthfilling and bright. Taste is of sweet bread crust, spiced bread, fruits, fruit bread, some bitterness, and brandy notes. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Urthel Samaranth finishes between wet and dry, with a sure alcohol presence.
