The first beer created by Brussels Beer Project, elected by more than 850 Brussels’ locals in the summer of 2013, beating 3 competeting prototypes (Alpha, Beta and Gamma). The Delta takes you on a tropical journey through Brussel with its notes of lychee, passion fruit before it strikes you with its refreshing bitterness and indefinite thirst-quenching ability.
Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of fresh bread, lemon, pine resin & banana . Taste s hop forward mango, dankness onion, garlic, orange with some fresh bread & banana & nice bitterness. Light bodied ,well carbonated th finish has more mango ,citrus, pine, banana ,bread with a nice bitterness & some slight stickiness from the hops . This is a really good Belgian new world style IPA. Well made !
Pours a translucent orange amber with a creamy off white head. Extremely lively beer, not just in the pour but throughout. Deep dark brown with a lasting head, it’s got the palate of a fizzy blonde. The aroma is very understated, with mild funk. While one expects a very rich dark fruit and spice profile from a Belgian winter, this one strikes me as almost a cross between Dupont’s Avec des Bon Voeux and a slightly tart Belgian black. The flavor is never allowed to move beyond fruity due to the high hop factor. The finish is bittered well yet balanced. Balance is it’s best attribute. Equinox inherently wants to go fruitbomb but the strict hop bittering wont let it. A superb brew with a refined disposition. Highly recommended.
The world’s classic Gueuze. A blend of one, two, and three year-old lambics creates a second fermentation in the bottle. The « Champagne of Belgium !!
Slightly hazy orangy golden with small bubbly white head. Smaller head than I was expecting, gone in an instant. Nice visible carbonation. Effervescent and champagne-like pour.. Aroma is sour, apples, white wine, vinegar. Taste is sour, almost no sweetness and bitterness, tart, apples, white wine grapes, dry, crisp. Aftertaste is sour, touch of bitterness, smooth carbonation. Carbonation is strong but not overwhelming. Light sweet grains, unripe peach, lemons, lots of barely ripe fruit tart/bitter mix. Great example of style.
Light, clear yellow in the glass. Minimal foam hugging the side of the glass. Subtle sour and apricot aroma. Huge crisp and dry sour, tart, and round dried-fruit apricot in the taste. Precise finish with distinct sour/tart reverberations. Excellent.
