Pours a pale and hazy yellow color forming a medium and low persistent aired white head. Nice carbonation and full white head. Nice hoppy fruity, pinaple aroma. Tasty hop notes with light citrus tints, crispy, some grapefruit sweetness, fresh cut grass, light bitterness. Well balanced and a tasty surprise of the evening. Aftertate is hoppy, citrus, grass and some malts. Low to medium carbo, soft mouthfeel, good medium body and a light creamy texture. Very nice indeed!

A beer by Brasserie des Légendes, not the same as the existing Ambiorix beers, as this is a beer which the brewery came up with themselves. (cfr. http://www.apaqw.be/…/Les-brass…/Brasserie-des-Legendes.aspx and http://www.tongeren-vandaag.be/index.php/2721-ambiorix-bier ) Pours a deek dark brown with a respectable off-white head. Aroma and taste has malt, light chocolate, medium bitterness, light roasted with faint black currant notes.

A DREAM!!!
Pours a very dark brown coloured beer, with a light beige head on top, almost two fingers in size, thick enough, with average retention and light lacing left on the glass. Aroma is dried fruit, honeyed caramel, light grape and port notes, vanilla, dark rum soaked bread, drier barrel elements. Taste is caramel and fruity port, dark toffee, yeast and honey, spicy bitterness, finishing with light chocolate and brown sugar. Smooth, medium heavy body. Pretty nice.

Established 1854. By Felix Verscheure, greatgrandfather of Omer Vander Ghinste, in Kortrijk. Brasserie LeFort became part of the Brewery Omer Vander Ghinste in 1911. LeFort is a dark, complex ale with an intense taste. Refermented in the bottle. Nice reddish brown with big foamy head. Smells of red fruit and some mint.Aroma of dark fruits, figs, plums, some berries, nuts, alcohol. Nice taste, malty with dark fruits, caramel, toasted, some nuts, the alcohol also notable giving a warming feeling, some spices. Medium thick body, good and notable carbonation.Would go great with a meat dish. A winter delight. Demends time. And a conversation.
