Cazeau Saison 5°

From Cazeau brewery

« A true seasonal beer, as refreshing as it should be! Taste it in the summer, sitting at a terrace table …  » Originally, season beer was a beer brewed before the summer and intended for summer-season farmhands. It had low alcohol content and a marked bitterness that made it really refreshing.

The brewery wanted to offer a truly seasonal Season with production limited in time.

As Laurent Agache’s parents had created a cottage-type aperitif based on fresh elder tree flowers, greatly appreciated for family festivities, the brewers have tried to use that flower for producing our Season.

The elder flower, combined with the Sterling hop, was wonderful right from the first tests: the bitterness of the hops underlined by the flower brought a new and really nice freshness.

The following year, shortly after the flowering of the elder tree, the Saison Cazeau was launched on the market.

Two Faced Jack 10°

From Het Nest brewery.

Now more than ten years ago, a group of friends started a beer tasting club. Every two weeks they came together at one of their homes to drink a good Belgian beer and to discuss beer, women and football. During the years the interest in beer grew. This resulted in following brewing courses in 2007. From that year on, they started “Hobbybrouwerij Het Nest (Home Brewery the Cradle)”. Their first success was a third place at the Open Dutch Championship for home brewers in the “triple” class.
Strong fruity wooden toffee aroma with alcohol and spice notes. Sweetish coke and toast taste with licorice, fruit, and wood notes. Sweetish fruity spicy herbal aftertaste with licorice and earth notes. Excellent balance of wood character, cellar character, freshness, sweetness, and bitterness. Quite impressive..
