Curtius Black 8°

Curtius Black 8°
This imperial stout of 8% ABV will surprise palates seeking for character beers with a lot of flavor. Guarantied non- pasteurized, non-sterilized and non-filtered, it offers roasted coffee and cocoa aromas, revealing a harmonious bitterness throughout the savoring of the beer. The name Black {C} refers doubly to its impenetrable black body as well as the brewery where the stout originated from.

Aroma has plenty of citrus, slight floral, slight horseblanked, sligtht grass. Pretty darn tasty. The taste tart and funky with some citrus, goose berries, basement grapefruit, stable, apples and some wood. Carbonation is extremely high. Nice indeed! Wow this is really complex.

The third Corne du Bois des Pendus can be called « Wonderful Horn ». Adorned with an ultra powerful black dress and a fleeting beige foam, creamy and warm, the Black Horn is an easy beer to savour.
The nose and mouth reveal soft aromas of remarkable intensity. The flavor is sweet in the first place prior to ramp up on chocolate notes, cafes « old » and butterscotch. Notes of plum, blackberry and dried red fruits appear slowly and sublime tasting. The bitterness is low to discover all the fruity aromas and individuals that can give special malts.
A Black Horn attractive, rich, fine and elegant. A Great Belgian beer, a Big Horn!

BEST STOUT 2014!!!
Poured deep reddish brown with a frothy tan head. On the nose strong roasted malt aromas develop and support the development of barnyard mixed with bitter chocolate notes and slight coffee traces. Lightly fizzy with a nice slick texture further developping the bitter chocolate and coffee notes providing a full body. There is a very tasty roasted malt flavor with some candi sugar and subtle dry hop bitterness.Finish is smooth, nearly dry and exceeedingly pleasant.
