Sainte Hélène Black Mamba 4.3°

From Sainte Hélène brewery.

English style stout, hopped with Citra and Simcoe. Called Citra Stout before it got the definitive name.
Very dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, stable, pretty adhesive. Has a dark roast aroma with some burnt sugar and definite citrus poking through. Nice flavor if slightly thin. Lightly sweet with some roast, light plastic, burnt cocoa, and some burnt citrus rind. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Burnt roast malt finish, with some wood, scorched earth, cocoa, mild citrus and grass. Easy drinker, lots of flavor. Good stuff.

Curtius Black 8°

From Brasserie {C} brewery.

This imperial stout of 8% ABV will surprise palates seeking for character beers with a lot of flavor. Guarantied non- pasteurized, non-sterilized and non-filtered, it offers roasted coffee and cocoa aromas. Revealing a harmonious bitterness throughout the savoring of the beer. The name Black {C} refers doubly to its impenetrable black body as well as the brewery where the stout originated from.

La Corne du Bois des Pendus BLACK 8°

From Ebly brewery.

The third Corne du Bois des Pendus can be called « Wonderful Horn ». Adorned with an ultra powerful black dress and a fleeting beige foam, creamy and warm, the Black Horn is an easy beer to savour.
The nose and mouth reveal soft aromas of remarkable intensity. The flavor is sweet in the first place prior to ramp up on chocolate notes, cafes « old » and butterscotch. Notes of plum, blackberry and dried red fruits appear slowly and sublime tasting. The bitterness is low to discover all the fruity aromas and individuals that can give special malts.
A Black Horn attractive, rich, fine and elegant. A Great Belgian beer, a Big Horn!
