Oud Beersel Oude Geuze Vandervelden 135 years

Oud Beersel Oude Geuze Vandervelden 135 years

Vandervelden 135 Oude Geuze is a blend of 1-year-old lambic aged on foeders that were previously used for mainly red Brunello di Montalchino Tuscany wine and of 3-year-old lambic on an old Oud Beersel foeder.
Pours golden with a fading white head, huge carbonation that goes quite quickly out of the beer. Touch darker than usual lambiek orange. Nose is big on old lambiek funk, lots of old lambiek character, old barrels, musty old barrels, old raw, big hay, oak features massively. High carbonation instantly that changes really the taste, it quickly goes away, you kind of miss it when its gone, big rotting lemon taste, orange peel, lots of old lambiek taste, old lambiek funk, huge old barrel, musty barrel room, very rustic, spoiled lemon. Feels far older than it is quite interesting, bit simpler than it sounds, overal quite interesting beer with lots of musty funk, very interesting old lambiek profile. Pretty tasty, definitely better than the regular one, quite interesting good for the enthusiasts.

Yell’oh on the rocks is the next big thing! A refreshing apero beer that’s a little out of the box but full to the brim with extra fruity bite.
Prepare to be dazzled by its exotic mix of lime, apple, elderflower, basil and pineapple.
And for truly irresistible refreshment? Try serving it on the rocks! In its own stylish but playful Liefmans glass of course, where this sparkling apero beer really comes into its own.

Clear pale yellowish beer, small creamy off-white head, pretty stable. Aroma has citrus, crisp malts, grapefruit hops, wheat. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has nice crisp malts, light fresh hops, mild pepper, citrus, grapefruit. Quite fresh. Nice elegant beer.

Clear yellow golden color, small to average sized white head that leaves fair lacing. Smell is bit bitter ( spicy side ) , some sweetness . Some yeast character . ice taste at first, fresh and refreshing with apricot, some peach, orange, a touch of sourness and a kind of off-putting metalic finish that thankfully doesn’t last for long. Nice bitterness on the aftertaste.
